The Management of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) has decided to engage all political parties to deepen political discourse in the run-up to Election 2012.

A letter signed by the General Manager of Newspapers of GCGL, Mr Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo, said GCGL would engage the parties in their programmes on identified themes in Economy, Finance, Education, Health, Agriculture and Infrastructure.

The motive is to organise open fora on these themes with the parties stating their programmes.

Additionally, the company plans to hold forums in all the regional capitals to enable the parties to state their commitment to peaceful elections.

In all these, the involvement and participation of the parties are critical.

However, the management of GCGL finds it difficult to locate offices of some of the political parties.

It is, therefore, using this medium to extend an invitation to all registered political parties to have a formal meeting, as well as agree on the timing of both the national and regional events as a contribution towards strengthening and entrenching democracy in the country.
