The Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has invited a presenter of Oman FM , Fiifi Boafo to assist with investigations relating to a treason case against his boss, Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin North.

Mr Agyapong was arrested and detained until Thursday, April 19 over comments he made on Fiifi Boafo's programme National Agenda on Friday, April, 13, 2012.

He has been charged with treason felony, terrorism acts and genocide and currently on a GHC400, 000 bail.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kencity Media, owners of Oman FM, Net2 TV and Ashh FM in Kumasi, was granted bail on Thursday, April 19 by two different High Courts after his arrest.

Mr. Boafo told Citi fm that he would be at the CID headquarters today to assist the investigators.

According to him, it was initially agreed that he would honour the invitation on Friday but both parties reached an agreement that the day was far spent, hence the rescheduling of the meeting for today.

'Well because of time, I'm unable to make it today Friday but I can confirm to you that I have been invited and I'll definitely honour it,' Mr Boafo said.

It would be recalled that the beleaguered NPP firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong, was invited by the Police CID on Monday, April 16th.
