The outspoken NPP Member of Parliament for Assin north in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says he is ready to face Alfred Agbesi Woyome who has filed a writ against the MP in court for calling him a 'Conman' and a criminal.
Kennedy Agyapong explained that he is not afraid of Alfred Woyome's threat by suing him in court. He added that he has competent lawyers who are ready to file a defense in court and contest the law suit.
Kennedy Agyapong alleged Mr. Woyome had earlier called him (MP)uneducated politician who does not talk in Parliament but makes a lot of noise on radio.
The MP said he will prove to Mr. Woyome that he is not stupid but a smart guy who works hard to get his money.
The MP, who first broke the news of the NDC financier being paid judgment debt of GHC58 million, said on Adom Fm on Tuesday, it is only unpatriotic citizens who will take judgement debts for no work done.
President Mills has set up an inquiry into the payment, but former NPP officials who have been named in the awarding of the contract have refused to honour the invitation of EOCO.
Asked if he will get enough money for the imminent litigation, Kennedy said he has prepared financially for the task ahead of him.
He commended the former Attorney General, Martin Amidu who filed writ against the payment of judgement debt to Mr. Woyome.
Kennedy Agyapong said such a bold decision by Mr. Amidu is worth commending.
He quoted portions of the 2010 Auditor General's report which indicate that about GHC6 billion has been paid in judgment debt since the NDC assumed the reins of government in January 2009.
