Accra , June 29, GNA - The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) on Tuesday received used clothes and shoes for distribution to victims of the recent floods in Accra and Tema Metropolis.

This was donation from Help Africa Incorporated, a non-profit organisation, based in the US , in collaboration with Come Help Africa, Ghana 's subsidiary.

Reverend Kennedy Kwasi Odzafi, Founder and President of Help Africa Inc. in an address read on his behalf, said that he was touched by the lost of lives and properties following the recent heavy rains through out the country.

Rev. Odzafi appealed to authorities responsible for processing documents of NGOs to be more sympathetic and considerate on tax exemption to make it easier for them to import more goods into the country during emergency situations.

Rev. Roger Dzandu-Hedidor, on behalf of the recipients thanked the donors for bringing smiles to the faces of the needy.

He called on the organisations to ensure that the donation was distributed to the beneficiaries.

In another development, the two NGOs presented assorted hospital equipments, computers with accessories and toys to the Ho Municipal Hospital and E.P. Educational Unit, Taviefe Senior High School and Kpong E.P. Kindergarten.
