Allow NDC Members To Contest Positions

By Daily Graphic

Mr Kofi Ofori, Constituency Chairman of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said it is dangerous for the party’s top functionaries to prevent some members from contesting positions.

If the practice is not checked, it will kill the zeal, love and trust members have for the party and also discourage them from contributing towards the growth and welfare of the NDC at the constituency, regional and national levels, he contended.

Speaking at Agona Swedru, Mr Ofori said the practice of preventing some members from contesting elections on grounds that they do not qualify for the positions must cease.

Mr Ofori suggested to the party hierarchy to allow the delegates to decide the fate of every contestant at their various conferences.

According to the constituency chairman the ward executive who were eligible to elect the constituency executive know who to vote for to lead the party and must, therefore, be given the free hand to do so.

He promised that the new executive would work hard to lead the party to victory in the 2012 election and also refurbish and equip the constituency office.

He urged the top functionaries of the party to remember that NDC lost power but had been returned to power adding, everything should be done to retain power to improve the living standard of the people. — GNA Share Your Thoughts on this article Name Email Location Comments Graphic Ghana may edit your comments and not all comments will be published

THE MESSAGE IS VERY CLEAR, DIRECTLY OR IN DIRECTLY THUS, GHANA IS MADE UP OF ONLY NDC MEMBERS SO NOBODY ELSE MUST EXIST IN THE COUNTRY APART FROM NDC MEMBERS. THIS MEANS IF I AM A MEMBER OF NDC AND MY PARENTS ARE NDDC- PARTY MEMBERS THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO EXIST IN THE COUNTRY. GOD BLESS ALL NDC PEOPLE TO LEAVE TILL THY KINGDOM COME. AAAMEN !!!!!
