Kwamekrom (V/R), Sept. 30, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Agbeko, Biakoye Constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress has urged government to solve the issue of a capital for the newly created Biakoye district, formerly part of the Jasikan district.
Mr Agbeko said the stalled inauguration of the new district, following opposition to the choice of Nkonya-Ahenkro as the capital by the chiefs and people of Worawora, has held back the development of the new district.
He said people in the district were anxious to have the problem, which has dragged on to the courts resolved quickly in the interest of peace and development.
