Mrs. Zita Okaikoi THE MINISTER of Information, Mrs. Zita Okaikoi, has commended DAILY GUIDE, a leading private paper in the country, for its immense contribution toward the development of the country.
She said government really appreciates the effort DAILY GUIDE was making in enhancing democracy in the country.
Mrs. Okaikoi commended the paper during a familiarization visit to Cape Coast on Friday.
The visit was also to help the Minister to be abreast with the Preparation towards the visit of the President of the United State of America (USA), Barrack Obama, to Cape Coast.
The Minster indicated that, although she visited most of the media houses in Accra immediately she assumed office, she thought it was reasonable to take advantage of Obama's visits to interact with all the media houses in Cape Coast as well.
Some of the media houses she visited included, Daily Guide, Ghana News Agency, Ghana Broadcasting Cooperation, Information services Department, New Times Cooperation and the Ghanaian Chronicle.
The rest were ATL FM, YES FM, EAGLE FM and Ahomka FM at Elmina.
The Former Deputy Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Frank Ohene Agyekum, under the New Patriotic party (NPP) administration, also embarked on similar visit.
She was accompanied by the Regional Director of Information, Mr. David Appiah Twem and her personal Assistant.

Zita, you are certainly a mixed race and perhaps well educated but you must pay attention to your hair dressing. A wig should be worn to show little or no difference to natural hair. In your case you appear too artificial to be admired by anybody in the fashion world. I suspect you are half Arab, certainly not European nor American. No wonder you are NDC minister, they always appear horrible, just like their administration.
