MCE urges Zongo Communities to remain committed to NDC

Agona Swedru, June 2, GNA - Mr Felix Jacob Obeng-Forson, Agona West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has reiterated the call on the Zongo Communities to remain committed and honest to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for socio-economic advancement.

He said President John Evans Atta Mills was aware of the numerous assistance Zongo Communities gave to the party during the 2008 presidential and parliamentary elections and expressed the hope that they would never regret for voting massively for the party.

Mr Obeng-Forson was interacting with Muslims at the Swedru Central Mosque during their Friday prayers to officially introduce himself to them as the new MCE for Agona West Assembly.

He said the government would put in place adequate measures to improve educational, sanitation and health facilities to ensure better living conditions for the people.

He said the NDC government would never forget the support that Zongo Communities gave the party and called on them to contribute towards the success of the government.

Mr Obeng-Forson also met the staff of the assembly and asked them to show concern and commitment to the work of the assembly.

He called for cooperation and unity among the staff to move the assembly forward, adding that the progress and development of the Agona West Municipality would solely depend on them.
