Mr. John Owusu Agyemang THE BRONG Ahafo Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Owusu Agyemang has assured the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the NDC would cooperate with them just as they did when they were in opposition.
He said, “We will continue to play clean politics with you just as when we were in opposition,” adding that the move would ensure that the country benefits from the current democratic dispensation.
Mr. Agyemang, who was addressing a press conference to express the NDC's appreciation to the chiefs and people of the Brong Ahafo region, commended them for choosing Prof. J.E.A. Mills as the next President of Ghana.
He re-echoed that the President-elect, Prof Mills would not discriminate among Ghanaians because he believed that all Ghanaians elected him to lead the nation for the next four years and for that matter he would be president for Ghana and not just the NDC.
The Regional Chairman assured all workers in the region not to entertain fears because the NDC government under the leadership of Prof Mills would not witch-haunt anybody because of his or her political affiliation.
Mr. Agyemang noted also that the nation under the NPP government was polarised where persons without NPP colours were either denied certain privileges or refused promotions at work places.
He gave the assurance that Ghana under the NDC administration would be a very strong state where everybody would benefit from the national cake, work freely and be promoted when due, and for that matter no one should panic under the new administration of the NDC.
The NDC Regional Chairman expressed the hope that Members of Parliament (MPs) from both sides would assist to move the country forward.
He also congratulated Prof. Mills and MPs-elect from various constituencies for wining the elections.
