Mahama Ayariga President-elect John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Mahama Ayariga, outgoing MP for Bawku Central, as presidential spokesperson.
Mr. Ayariga, who lost his parliamentary seat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, is among the first two persons to be appointed by Prof. Mills.
The president-elect also appointed James Bebako-Mensah, a former Cabinet Secretary in the previous NDC government as secretary to the president.
According to a statement issued from the Kuku Hill office of Prof. Mills, the appointments of the two take immediate effect.
Ayariga was Mills' spokesperson when he ran for the NDC' presidential race.
DAILY GUIDE has also picked up information that the Chief of Staff to Jerry Rawlings, Nana Ato Dadzie has been tipped for the same position.
Ato Dadzie was acting Chief of Staff for so many years at the Castle, but this would be in a substantive position.
