The nominated NPP vice presidential candidate was from Tumu to the home town of Dr. Hilla Limann in his campaign tour of the Northern and Upper Regions, when the accident occurred.
Joy Correspondent Samson Lade Ayenene attributed the accident to the dusty road and miscommunication on the part of the drivers, in his report to Joy news.
“The driver leading the convoy had to stop because he did not see ahead of him but did not communicate it to his colleagues behind, at least on time. The second vehicle bumped into the first vehicle and the third into the second.” he narrated.
Alhaji MND Jawula who was part of the convoy and in the second vehicle also escaped unhurt, even though his vehicle according to the report was smashed at both ends.
