Three weeks after the Electoral Commission began investigations into alleged bloated register, the Commission says it is yet to conclude the process.
The Director in charge of Elections at the Commission, Albert Kofi Arhin, this morning told Joy FM that the EC takes the matter seriously and would want to do a thorough job of it, urging the public to keep their fingers crossed for the outcome.
He told Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah on the Joy Super Morning Show that to the best of his knowledge, the National Democratic Congress which made the allegation of a bloated voters' register particularly in parts of the Ashanti Region, did not present the CD-ROM the party's officials claimed they obtained from the EC and which contained the disputed figures.
He however assured that the investigations will soon come to an end and the findings published.
“The Commission is taking it seriously, the investigation is being done, the committee is sitting and I believe very soon the findings will come out,” he said.
