The National Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned a comment made by one of its Members in Parliament on the health status of the Presidential Candidate of the party,Prof. Evans John Atta Mills. In a statement,it said whilst the party respects the MP for Lower Manya Krobo, Teye Nyaonu's right to express his view, the party finds the statement uninformed, distasteful and unethical. A statement signed by the party's General Secretary, Johnson Aseidu Nketia, said the National Executive Committee has invited Mr Nyaonu, and the Minority Leader in Parliament to a meeting to discuss the matter. It assured the general public and particularly NDC members that the party remains solidly united and is confident in Prof. Mills' ability to lead the party to victory in the December 2008 elections.
