Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamu Bawumia will present "bold solutions for the future" as he embarks on his nationwide campaign tour, according to a statement from his campaign team.
Kicking off from the Eastern Region on Monday, April 29, Bawumia's campaign will focus on engaging Ghanaians and proposing ideas to address key issues.
“As we enter the active phase of the 2024 Election campaigning, Dr. Bawumia is buoyed up by the strong backing from our party's grassroots," the statement noted.
Over the next month, the vice president will visit all 16 regions on his first round of campaigning.
The statement quoted Bawumia as saying he will "humbly but decisively address all major issues facing our nation."
His campaign team emphasized Bawumia will showcase "practical, and tailor-made ideas to deal with issues that are most dear to the Ghanaian people."
They expressed confidence that this approach, combined with Bawumia's experience, position him as the best leader for Ghana's future.
“The maiden national campaign tour, which runs till the first week of June, will have Dr. Bawumia showcasing his innovative ideas for Ghanaians,” read the statement.
