Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang has changed; you can see a certain sense of urgency – Political Strategist Kobby Mensah

A Political Strategist, Professor Kobby Mensah has noted that he sees a little change in Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang following her outdooring as the running mate to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang was officially outdoored by the NDC as running mate to John Dramani Mahama for the 2024 General Election on Wednesday, April 24.

After watching her deliver a speech, Political Strategist Prof. Kobby Mensah has indicated that he sees a change in the former Minister of Education.

Speaking to Starr FM, the Political Strategist said, unlike the last time when Mahama selected Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, there is now a sense of urgency in the running mate.

“I think that she was almost the same as in 2020 but she has changed clearly, the seriousness was that you could see a certain sense of urgency not only in her speech but also in her nonverbal. You could see the sense of justice through her words and her actions,” Prof. Kobby Mensah said.

According to the Political Strategist, the new sense of urgency will energise the NDC’s base, indicating that it gives a certain sense of hope and purpose and a clear sense of unity within the opposition party.

He believes this is going to drive the party’s base that they will have a certain belief that they can win this election and go out there and campaign for the party.

Prof. Kobby Mensah strongly believes that John Dramani Mahama made the right choice selecting Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate ahead of the 2024 General Election.

“She is a very stable person, she is a very focused person very articulate, to say the least, and of course very professional with service. So you could feel that all these were actually coming into play. So certainly yes the former President couldn’t have actually made any better choice than that,” the Political Strategist said.
