You Can Insult Me But We're Not Fools To Vote For NPP Again – An Ashanti Man

Feature Article You Can Insult Me But We're Not Fools To Vote For NPP Again – An Ashanti Man

Considering the fact that Akufo Addo and Bawumia pretend they don’t know what the majority of Ghanaians think about them, the ruining of the country's economy, businesses, and investments, and, more importantly, their reliance on false and misleading articles from some writers that claim Bawumia will defeat Mahama, I like to highlight public statements so that the NPP understands that, despite their pretense of not knowing what the Ghanaians think of them, the people are not pretenders.

How can a sane person vote for Mahamudu Bawumia as president after he tells such a falsehood? It's time to evict Akufo Addo, Bawumia, and Ken Ofori-Atta from the former Flagstaff House because of the immense harm they have caused to Ghana.

Bawumia has little prospect of success, he can’t defeat Mahama in any election, so he is not a threat. The greatest threat to Mahama is Jean Mensa; hence, Ghanaians should disregard any false reports implying Bawumia will triumph in the 2024 presidential contest. Politicians who repeatedly misrepresent party initiatives should never be trusted. He is confident that he will win the 2024 presidential contest because he believes Jean Mensa would rig the results for the NPP, as she did in 2020.

Even though Africans are the least respected people in the developed world, Ghanaians are not stupid enough to support a politician who failed as vice president, kept lying his entire life, engaged in widespread corruption, failed to deliver on his promise of providing common toilets, and collaborated with the governor of the Bank of Ghana to print new currency three times without the approval of parliament—thus further destabilizing the already fragile economy of the country,

To be honest, Bawumia as vice president has no message, just like Akufo Addo, and he currently has no message with his desire to be president. Ghanaians can see that he has even appropriated several of Mahama's digitalization initiatives, such as "Tap and Go." His naive pride rests only on Jean Mensa's election-rigging scheme, but the EC head is calling for her persecution if she doesn't think about how this government has destroyed the nation and plans to rig the election once more.

The hatred toward her cannot be limited to simple resentment after the 2020 election manipulation that resulted in the collapse of the economy, businesses, and investment, and most importantly, her reluctance to testify in court and provide an explanation for the rigged results. She escaped justice for what she did to Ghanaians, and she never showed regret. However, she must exercise extreme caution since no amount of authority can withstand the wrath of the populace when they rebel against it.

This makes the situation, which hasn't happened yet in the 2024 presidential contest, extremely precarious. Disgruntled Ghanaians, who are deeply concerned about the country's economic collapse, businesses, investments, widespread corruption that goes unpunished, and high unemployment, continue to blame and accuse the NPP for the catastrophe that has befallen the country, but they frequently forget that Jean Mensa is responsible for the disaster that has befallen on the nation.

Under Mahama’s administration, Ghanaians witnessed the best economy; yet, people took to the streets, demanding the resignation of the former Ghanaian leader. Today, Akufo Addo, Bawumia, and Ken Ofori-Atta are witnessing the same clash from Ghanaians, but not demonstrations, but rather showing their anger on social media. Since the NPP has failed, the president has refused to sign the bill passed by parliament against homosexuality, since he believes the US government can keep them in power.

Let me be clear with Akufo Addo: Ghanaians will not put them back in power, whether he signs the anti-gay bill or not. Power belongs to the people, not Akufo Addo, Bawumia, Jean Mensa, or the US government. More importantly, Ghanaians, including the Ashanti people, have witnessed the destruction and underdevelopment brought about by the reckless and dishonest NPP government.
