President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana held a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra on July 10, 2023, to receive the Letters of Credence from six envoys representing Türkiye, Ethiopia, Mali, Saudi Arabia, Cote d'Ivoire, and Colombia.

During the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo congratulated the newly appointed envoys and expressed the Government of Ghana's readiness to collaborate with their respective countries in various areas of mutual interest. These areas include trade, agriculture, health, technology, and education.

The President assured the envoys that the Government of Ghana would provide them with the necessary support to fulfill their duties during their tenure.

In particular, President Akufo-Addo urged the envoys to explore the trade opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

He emphasised the potential for boosting economic cooperation between Ghana and their respective countries through enhanced trade relations.

The AfCFTA presents a platform for expanding trade across the African continent and holds great potential for increasing economic integration.

The new envoys, in turn, expressed their commitment to strengthening the existing cordial relations between their countries and Ghana.

They pledged to work towards deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, both at the bilateral and multilateral levels. This commitment reflects the shared desire to foster stronger ties and collaboration to achieve common goals.

The envoys who presented their Letters of Credence to President Akufo-Addo are as follows: H.E. Mr. Hüseyin Güngӧr, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye; H.E. Mr. Teferi Fikre Gossaye, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia; H.E. Konate Oumar, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali; H.E. Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dakhel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; H.E. Mr. Assiélou Félix Tanon, Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire; and H.E. Mr. Daniel Garces Carabali, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia.
