Who Is The Demon-God Of Death? Why And How Do Humans Die?

Death is a demonic spirit. It is not an event, but a high principality that joined Lucifer alongside other fallen angels such as Baal, Molech, Ashtoreth, Chemosh, Milcom, Hades, Nadab, Beelzebub, Red Dragon, The Nephilim, Queen of heaven, Jezebel, Abaddon, Hades, and others; about 144,000 of these bad, rebellious, and unrepentant fallen angels who were driven out of heaven by the True Lord God Almighty (Revelation 12:7-17). I saw this fallen angelic demonic wraith known as Death first time in 1997 when I was incarcerated incommunicado in Abacha’s Gulag at the DMI, Apapa, Lagos way back in my native Nigeria. As I often disclose in this column more than 15 years now, it was at the Gulag more than 25 years ago that my spiritual transformation and Damascene Experience began. It was at night, and I saw a huge swarthy and tall being holding a big club on its right shoulder. He was at the back of a procession of three other lanky, weird, and grotesque-looking creatures and the Holy Spirit told me who these bizarre creatures were namely: Death at the back, Hades, Coma, and Disease in tow. I asked the Holy Spirit; Are Coma and Diseases supernatural fallen creatures? He answered in the affirmative. You will read more about this in my forthcoming autobiography: “Kidnapped To Glory.”

This week, we want to talk about Death. This fallen supernatural being sends chills down the spines of human beings, because he brings tragedy anywhere, he strikes. We all must confront its inevitability at one time or the other in the Journey of Life. From the beginning, it was not part of the original plan of the Almighty God that we human beings He created in His Image, Likeness and Similitude should be plucked by this evil creature which lives in the Nether Gloom with his ferocious sidekick called Hades as the Word of Life disclosed: “And I looked and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth” (Revelation 6:8). Why do Death and Hades only have power over the fourth part of the earth? Because these two fallen angels do not have power over the seas and oceans. Those who die by water are held by the principality of the marine world (See Revelation 20:13: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it…and they were judged everyman according to their works.”

For every prisoner, there is a prison and there are also prison guards. Human beings are the prisoners if they die without confessing our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ as their Savior; the prison they will be kept is Hades and the prison guard who arrests and brings such souls to its dungeon is Death. In Greek mythology and closer home among the Yoruba people of West Africa, our cosmological exegeses made these facts abundantly clear. The Yorubas even have panegyrics for Death, Disease and Hades. “Iku” meaning Death, “Arun” meaning Diseases thus it goes: “Iku mare onida ina, Arun mare onikumo lorun…” meaning, “Death you’re the wielder of the Big Club, Disease, the wielder of the Big Stick…” Go and watch all the classics of Chief Hubert Ogunde’s movies and you will understand what we are talking about here about Death.

Among the Spanish Catholics in Mexico and other antediluvian tribes, Santa Muerte or Festival of Death is celebrated annually on August 15. The Aztec Empire valorized this demon-god and worshiped him by cutting the hearts of human beings and draining the blood to a skeletal figurine creature called Death or Santa Muerte. As I stated above in my first encounter with this terrible being, the devotees of Santa Muerte believe he is capable of giving them healing and pave the way to the afterlife. No wonder I saw Coma or Unconsciousness, Hades and Disease accompanying Death on that terrible night the spiritual warfare over my soul was being waged between Light and Darkness. Praise God, my Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ defeated Death 2,000 years ago on Calvary and defeated him in my life in 1997 at the DMI, Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria. Hallelujah!

HOW DO HUMANS DIE? First, what is Death? As disclosed above, Death is a spirit that comes to a human being to separate the physical human flesh from the spirit and soul. Remember, when the True Lord God Almighty, the Creator created Adam, He gave Adam His Triune Personality as God, the Father, God the Son and God, the Holy Spirit. Similarly, Man and by extension Adam and you and I are Tripartite too as spirit, soul, and body. Argosies of Bible scriptures pointed this out lucidly: “Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground (physical flesh) and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, (spirit) and the man became a living being (soul)” (Gen. 2:7). “May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, (human spirit) soul (human soul which is your personality) and body (physical flesh) be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonian. 5:23); “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul (human soul) and spirit, (your human spirit) and of the joints and marrow, (your physical flesh) and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12) and many more but for space constraints.

When God Almighty created Adam, He put His Holy Spirit into the spirit of Adam after He had formed Adam from the ground like a doll and the Life-Giving Holy Spirit of the Almighty joined with Adam’s inanimate physical flesh which brought it into life forming the soul. The soul is the seat of decision and will. The human soul that Adam possessed through the Life-Giving Spirit of the Almighty God gave Adam an independent personality, his spirit communed with God while his physical flesh could be invaded by Satan. Since the ground was and still is the final home of Satan and his rebellious fallen angels known as Nether World, the Creator in His Manifold Wisdom created Adam with an independent personality to decide whom he would believe between God, the Creator and Satan, the Opposer of the Almighty God. The way to determine whom Adam would choose between God and Satan was for Adam to be given an instruction and the instruction/commandment was direct and unambiguous: “And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die” (Gen. 2:16 &17). Then came the second instruction or commandment given to Adam through Eve by Satan repeating exactly the instruction and commandment the Almighty God gave to Adam, but Satan added only one word: NOT! “You will surely not die” (Gen. 3:4). These two choices are always before you and I and all human beings who have ever walked, are walking and will ever walk on this planet earth in the Journey of Life. This God Almighty hasn’t changed, because as He said: “I am the Lord, I change not…” (Malachi 3:6; See Numbers 23:19, Hebrews 13:8 etc.). Just as this Good God Almighty commanded and instructed Adam and Eve at the beginning, He is warning, commanding, and instructing all of us today that He is Jesus Christ in the flesh and in Him and in Him Only is there salvation for our souls as He declared authoritatively: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Just as Adam and Eve trusted Satan’s lie, cavalierly scorned and disbelieved the Almighty God when He told them they would die-separated from Him-the same today billions of human beings are stubbornly toeing the calamitous steps, disastrous paths, and ruinous route of their rebellious First Parents: Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Just as those Rebellious First Parents were flushed out of God’s Presence in Eden, the demon-god of Death is waiting menacingly to “arrest” all Christ’s rejecters and haters and escort them to the Nether Gloom as the chief policeman of all disobedient human beings. I can’t understand why some human beings are so stupid and dumb that they can’t get this basic truth. If human beings have laws that govern our affairs in order to maintain peace and tranquility in the modern society and violators are punished and locked behind bars; how much more do human beings think the Creator will not punish those who disobey His Laws and Commandments? Do you think you as a sinner will get away with your disobedience to your Creator when even your First Parents; Adam and Eve couldn’t get away with theirs in the Garden of Eden? This is precisely the lesson Mr. Death teaches all human beings and he is lurking in the shadows and warming up to take you and I underground if you persist in your sinful life and disobedience to your Creator. Lets now look at the six ways this demon-god known as Death operate in the affairs of the human race.

NATURAL DEATH: - The Almighty God Who is the Creator is a Good God and has created a level playing field for all human beings that have ever walked on this earth, now walking the earth and will ever walk this planet earth. Before you and I arrived here, He determined your mission, which we call individual ministry among us His true children; no arrogance intended. The rest human beings call it destiny. He said so Himself: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5). The next were the resources or your budget needed to carry out your earthly assignment and the number of years allocated to you to accomplish your earthy assignment as He disclosed in Proverbs 3:13 & 16 thus: “Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who acquires understanding, …Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.” The minimum number of years of an average person’s life as the Almighty God has set up His System is 70 years according to Psalm 90:10: “The length of our days is 70 years…” In other words, the earlier you discovered the purpose of the Creator for your life, the earlier you will be able to finish and complete your assignment and go home-heaven. However, if you discovered God’s assignment late in life, you could petition for extension to make it to 80 years and more as Psalm 90:10 added; “…or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.” A classic example was King Hezekiah who wept and asked for an extension and added years and was given additional 15 years (See 2 Kings 20:1-7). This is what is meant by “…redeeming the time for the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16).

How do you know you will die a natural death as a born-again Christian? There are seven things that determine the number of years you will live on this temporary earth. First, have you discovered the purpose of your existence? In other words, there is a mission or an assignment the Creator has for you for placing you here. You are not just passing through here, but on a mission. As I have noted elsewhere, in the Play of Life, the Author, Executive Producer and Executive Director is the True Lord God Almighty. You and I are just actors and actresses, and we act our assigned parts and off we are gone. No one is making history, but the True Lord God Almighty is the One making history. We only have a short time to spend on this earthly realm and that allotted time is meant to be used to accomplish our God-ordained assignment in the overall plan of the Lord Jesus Christ in His Future Kingdom as He said Himself: “Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of prophecy in this book, because the time is near. Let the unrighteous continue to be unrighteous, and the vile continue to be vile; let the righteous continue to practice righteousness, and the holy continue to be holy.” Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done” (Revelation 22:10-12).

Second, are you carrying out His assignment for your life? It is not enough for you to know what He created you to do here on earth, but to fulfil it as He Himself pointed out: “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 4:46). Third, are you doing it the way He instructed you to do it or doing it your own way? I have disclosed it legionary times in this column that our Lord God Almighty is not interested in what you and I claim to be doing for Him, but much interested in doing what He wants you and I to do. Any spiritual activity, whatever name it is called that is initiated by humans instead of the Holy Spirit has no eternal value. Even my articles that I write here weekly; if they are not initiated and inspired by the Holy Spirit they have no eternal value as far as the True Lord God Almighty is concerned. He said so Himself: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). So, watch out folks! Make sure that church you’re pastoring, the Bible Studies you’re conducting, the miracles you’re performing, the missionary works you’re embarking on, that big structural edifice you say you’re erecting and that amphitheater you’re building, that open crusade you’re planning etc. were all inspired and directed by the Holy Spirit and not for show and win plaudits from fellow human beings. Remember, He said: “…I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols” (Isaiah 42:8), because “…what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God” (Luke 16:15 ESV). Fourth, how are you making your money and sustaining yourself? In other words, where does these three things come from: your food, clothing, and shelter? Had He not assured us that “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? …But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you…” (Matthew 6:25 & 33). Which company will pay a non-employee and so why would God Almighty release His Money to you when you’re not employed by Him? After all, He Himself said in 1 Corinthians 9:13-14: “Don’t you know that those who serve in the temple get their food from the temple, and that those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar? In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.”

Consequently, if you are a pastor, prophet, teacher, missionary, evangelist, etc. and you find it extremely difficult to feed yourself and family and the three basic necessities of life He assured in Matthew 6: 25 &33 above, then something is missing. My Jehovah Jireh doesn’t owe His true employees, Hallelujah! On the other hand, if you are gallivanting all over the place in expensive private jets, cavalcade of automobiles and the bling, bling celebration of this darkened and demon-controlled world and you say you’re an employee of my True Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ; you are stealing, period! He didn’t guarantee us those stuffs.

Fifth, are you training others that the Lord Jesus Christ has sent to you to take over from you in order to continue with His Work? Everything about our Lord God Almighty is Eternal, including His Work. Every assignment initiated, directed, and implemented by the Holy Spirit lives on after the first worker or employee as Apostle Paul told the early Christians in Corinth: “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds, For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 3:9-11). In the secular world, people work in shifts in factories, and no one claims to be the only maker of the finished product. So also, in the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, because “…so, in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Romans 12:5). So, if you are running a church or whatever purportedly for my Lord, Master and Savior Jesus Christ and you are the overseer, your wife is your deputy, your son is your personal assistant, all your children run other branches and your buddies are the board of trustees and everything revolves around you, me, and I; you are operating Jones & Sons Spiritual Enterprises Limited and not the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, period!

Sixthly, if you cannot designate a successor and pass the baton of leadership to another Holy Spirit-filled leader already discipled by you and directed by the Holy Spirit to take over from you in the full glare of other workers, you are running your show and not the working for our Lord Jesus Christ “And the LORD replied to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man with the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him. Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation, and commission him in their sight. Confer on him some of your authority, so that the whole congregation of Israel will obey him. He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who will seek counsel for him before the LORD by the judgment of the Urim. At his command, he and all the Israelites with him—the entire congregation—will go out and come in .”Moses did as the LORD had commanded him. He took Joshua, had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation, and laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the LORD had instructed through Moses” (Numbers 27:18-23). Elijah handed over to Elisha (2 Kings 2:1-18). Apostle Paul discipled Timothy and handed over to him thus: “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:1-2). On and on, that is how the real work of the Lord Jesus Christ works. A brother called me from the EU and said he wanted to be the representative of our ministry; The Jesus Christ Solution Center, DBA in that part of the world and I told him the Lord Jesus Christ Who is the Overall Boss and Who called me hasn’t instructed me to that effect, end of story! We don’t franchise and open up branches; rather, we save souls.

Seventh and lastly, if you want to leave this earth the born-again Christian Way and about to see my Redeemer, He will tell you it is time to depart, and the end has come. Afterall, in the secular world, every employee knows when it is time to retire. So, also with our Lord Jesus Christ, our Eternal Employer, Hallelujah! You should be able to tell fellow workers just as Apostle Paul announced: “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which, the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all of them also that love his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:6-8). Or as Apostle Peter also announced: “For our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that I must soon leave this earthly life, And I will make every effort to ensure that after my departure, you will be able to recall these things at all times.…” (2 Peter 1: 14 &15). Can non-believers and Christ’s Rejecters also die natural death? Yes. Read on.

HONORED DEATH: - There are two Eternal Aisles before all human beings: Eternal Heaven or Eternal Hell. Satan and his fallen angels have succeeded in duping many ignorant souls that Death is a transition to a better life for all. The witches, Satanists, cultists, wizards, augurers, charlatans, religious racketeers, and their pathetic ilk deluded and bamboozled by Satan and his demons are told that Honor Death is an attraction. These are traffickers in the supernatural who flagrantly flout the laws and commandments of God and obey Satan instead who, to them is their lord and master. No wonder our Lord Jesus Christ referred to Satan as “the ruler of this world” (John 12:31); See also John 16:11; and Apostle Paul called Satan, “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4). For those beguiled human beings that have cast their lots with Satan in this temporary world, a time would reach in the course of serving him that they would be told to die as a sacrifice so that they can live the remainder of their years on the Other Side with Satan. There was a young female Nigerian singer who announced her death at the age of 50 years in the 1990s and that was exactly when she died. I met a woman member of Ogboni Confraternity in Nigeria in the 90s and she told me she would love to die at 51 years because there was no need to live a long life. She was called Mama Toyin and she announced to me that, “life on the other side is more enjoyable and pleasant than the one here.” She had been deceived as she died exactly at age 51. There were even rumors that the day she died at her residence at Shomolu in Lagos, Nigeria, she appeared to her daughter in Manchester UK and gave some instructions. These are fat lies from the pit of hell pulled by demons to deceive humans. Honor Death as Satan has also set up his deceptive system is meant for his worshippers who want to be known as Avatars who can be invoked by living human beings after their deaths. You hear words and prayers such as these: “I call on the god of TB Joshua blah,blah,blah…” “May the god of SBJ Oshoffa, blah, blah, blah...” Those are prayers to fallen angels, not to the King of kings and Lord Jesus Christ.

PREMATURED DEATH: -This is the most common form of Death from time immemorial. These are human beings killed and murdered before their allotted time as ordained by the True Lord God Almighty. On this lane are accident victims such as in motor, boat, airplanes, armed robberies etc. Unbelievers who live their life the way they want and do not want to have anything to do with the Saving Grace of the Death of our Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary also fall into this group. You can’t live your life the way you want and flout the laws and commandments of the Almighty God and except to live a long life. Sins of all hues as described in the Book of Life are mostly the causes of premature deaths in the world today. TO BE CONTINUED NEXT WEEK
