NADMO, bring this Driver to book!

NADMO, bring this Driver to book!
06.01.2021 LISTEN

On Tuesday, 5th January 2021 around 10:30pm, I was driving from the Action Chapel – Spintex stretch towards East Legon. The road was relatively quiet, and I was in the left lane with the intention of making a left turn at the traffic light towards East Legon via the East Legon tunnel, popularly known as the underbridge.

I was coming from the Airport and I had hired a taxi to help carry some of the luggage, so I was driving behind the taxi at a considerable distance.

About 50 meters to the traffic light Suddenly, someone driving a NADMO pick-up with registration number GC 832-19 cuts in from the middle lane and forces me to screech to a halt. The traffic light had turned red at the time and the taxi was the first car. What was weird was that there was about a 40-meter gap between the Pick-up and the taxi carrying our luggage.

I got down from the car to ask the NADMO driver if there was a problem and to add that I was following the taxi and he had cut me off.

Shockingly, the driver asked me to reverse and allow a Toyota Landcruiser that was in the middle lane to come ahead of me; a request I found very absurd. As I stated earlier, the road was not even busy at the time. When I expressed my dismay at his suggestion, this person rained insults on me.

The shocking aspect of it all is that, when the lights turned green, he did not even turn left towards the underbridge, he moved back to the middle lane and then sped off towards Spintex road.

I am by this letter requesting that the said driver of NADCO pick-up with registration number GC 832-19 at the said date and time be investigated and the necessary action taken.

Thank you
