Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has expressed disappointment with how the media reported his video leading to the GHS5 million defamation lawsuit filed against him by fellow actress Martha Ankomah.

Ankomah has sued Lilwin for statements he made on social media in February, alleging that they damaged her reputation.

However, Lilwin claims the media only focused on the negative aspects of the things he said in the video.

"I have not heard or seen anything. Please don't land me into further trouble," Lilwin told Yen News when asked about the lawsuit.

“I said a lot of good things but you only capitalized on the bad," he added playfully.

The lawsuit stems from comments Lilwin made in response to a radio interview where Ankomah said she is not interested in acting in Kumawood movies due to their portrayal of witchcraft storylines.

Lilwin criticized Ankomah on social media for the remarks, saying things like "Who knows you? If not for GTP and senior government officials who signed you on at GTP, who would have signed you."

The actress said these statements, among others, damaged her reputation as a "distinguished actress" of over 20 years.

She is suing Lilwin for defamation and damages totaling GHS5 million.
