Prince Abdulaziz Alsaud commends Cal Merchant

One of the world's richest people, Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud of Saudi Arabia, has commended the operations of Cal Merchant in the country and asked the staff not to relent in their efforts in playing a key role in Ghana’s development.

The Prince, who is also a strategic investor and shareholder of CAL Merchant Bank, registered his appreciation when he paid a courtesy call on the directors of the bank during his visit to the country to explore investment opportunities. He was accompanied by a distinguished entourage, including the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Sheik I. C. Quaye.

During the meeting, the Royal visitor was briefed on the operations of the bank, whose growth has been on a consistent increase, resulting in the payment of appreciable dividends to the shareholders.

Prince Alwaleed Alsaud was impressed by the bank's remarkable performance as well as the political and economic stability of the country, which augurs well for foreign investments.

This prospect has led to his visit, which included his investment team who will study the options to enable him to invest in the economy.

Essentially, CAL Merchant Bank is proven for its financial stability, high interest-yielding products and excellent customer services, which make it competitive in the marketplace.

In an interview with Mr Frank Adu Jnr, he remarked that the Royal Prince's visit was significant. It showed his recognition and keen interest in the bank as one of the shareholders. He owns almost 14 per cent of the equity shares.

By international standards, CAL Merchant Bank is a reputable company. It occupies a leading position in Ghana's banking industry and contributes meaningfully to her socio-economic development.

They were welcomed by the Chairman of the Board, Mr George V. Okoh, the Managing Director Mr Frank Adu Jnr, Mr Paarock Van Percy, Director, and the Deputy Managing Director, Mr Joe Abroakwa.
