Member of the MTN FA Cup Committee (FACC) Mr. Kofi Poku has revealed that the final clash between Bechem United and Okwahu United is gradually gathering momentum as the road tour passed through the homes of the two finalists over the weekend.
“The euphoria in Kwahu was unimaginable as we touched down in the Eastern Region on Saturday and our sincere thanks go to the chiefs for giving us such a warm welcome,” Kofi Poku told Joe Debrah on Happy [98.9] FM on Sunday, August 28.
“We were also privileged to meet Mr. R.K Appiah, who was the chairman of the soccer mountaineers (Okwahu United) when they won the trophy about thirty years ago,” he added.
Kofi Poku further reiterated that their next destination will be at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday where Bechem United lock horns with Hearts of Oak on matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League.
The final match of the 2015/2016 MTN FA Cup comes off this Sunday, September 4 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
