Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng started his Spanish La Liga career in some style scoring on his debut for Las Palmas in the opening game of the season against Valencia.

The Ghanaian joined Las Palmas from AC Milan, a club Boateng had a second stint at in the second half of last season following his dispute with German Bundesliga club Schalke 04. READ ALSO: 5 things you didn't know about Las Palmas' new player

The player who has been training with Las Palmas in the past few weeks was handed a start in the La Liga game against Valencia by manager Quique Setien and played 60 minutes before being replaced by Momo.

Home team Valencia opened the scoring in the game with Santi Mina scoring six minutes after kick-off.

Kevin-Prince Boateng scored the third goal for Las Palmas but Santi Mina scored his second of the day three minutes later as Valencia went into the first half interval trailing by three goals to two.

Marko Livaja scored the only goal in the second half for Las Palmas late into additional time as Prince Boateng's team grabbed all three points away from home in their first game of the La Liga season.
