Adam Kwarasey will make a return to the Black Stars for the final 2017 Africa cup of nations qualifier match against Rwanda.
The Rosenborg shot-stopper ended his self-imposed exile from the team in March but was not invited for the clash against Mauritius because of injury.
However, coach Avram Grant has picked the 28-year old plus two other goalkeepers to face Rwanda in Accra on September 1st.
The match is expected to be a mere formality as the Black Stars have already sealed qualification to the next year showpiece in Gabon.
But for Kwarasey if given the nod for the first time since June 2014, he will have to convince all that he is Ghana's safest pair of hands ahead of world cup qualifiers and AFCON.
He has earned 21 caps with the Ghana National Team since 2011.
