AUG 5, 2016 LISTEN

Crystal Palace have excluded Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah from their Premier League squad for the 2016/2017 campaign.

This development means the fit-again forward does not fit into the plans of manager Alan Pardew he prepares for their opener against West Bromwich Albion.

Appiah recently declared himself fit and ready for the upcoming campaign after recovering from a knee injury.

The 25-year-old tore a cruciate anterior ligament while training with the Black Stars in June 2015 ahead of a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius in Accra.

Appiah is set to join a different club either on loan or permanent basis.
