Ghana international Alfred Duncan marked his debut in the Uefa Europa League as he lasted the entire duration of the game for Sassuolo in their 1-1 stalemate with Swiss side Luzern on Thursday.
The 23-year-old powerful midfielder was handed a starting role and he played the entire game at the Swissporarena as Italian youngster Domenico Berardi scored a 42nd minute penalty to earn them a 1-1 draw.
Duncan played a key role in midfield for the Italians who were making their maiden appearance in the competition. He anchored the midfield with admirable energy and strength.
The former Inter Milan midfielder has been a subject of transfer rumours in the Italian press with strong reports linking him with a return to Milan to rejoin Inter.
