Tsito (V/R), July 28, GNA - Groupe Nduom Bank, (GN Bank) has opened its 263rd branch at Tsito-Awudome in the Ho West District to provide 'close banking services' to the people.

The bank is expected to transform the local economy and save people in the peri-urban community from the risk and cost of travelling to Ho, some 25 kilometres for those services.

Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, Chief Executive, Groupe Nduom said the dream is to make GN Bank the biggest in Ghana and owned by Ghanaians.

He said the Bank is expected to get to a point where it would offer financial support to the country and stop it from seeking financial assistance from World Bank and foreigners.

Dr Nduom encouraged the locals to open accounts with the Bank and take advantage of its numerous products.

He said the Groupe is working towards listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange to make GN Bank truly Ghanaian and hopeful that would be a reality by 2017.

Mr Issah Adam, Managing Director, GN Bank, in a speech read on his behalf said the Bank would have 300 branches by the end of 2016.

He said six more branches would be opened in the Volta Region in addition to the existing 17.

Togbe Gobo Dake XII, Chief of Tsito, commended Groupe Nduom for the foresight and pledged the support of the community.
