Black Stars Deputy captain Dede Ayew has said in simple terms that his superior Asamoah Gyan is taking him through some 'tutorials' which will make his reign as the substantive captain easier.
Speculations has reached roof top that the Swansea hit man is in haste to unseat Gyan as the captain of the senior national soccer side.
But the former Marseille man has rubbished the claims saying on Starr FM that “Next year, 2017 will be my tenth year in the Black Stars. I have stayed very long in the team and have captained before when Asamoah Gyan was not around. He is grooming me to be ready to take over from him when he is no more in the team.”
“I have an excellent relationship with him, and I have learnt to work together with him for the best of the nation and the team.”
Ayew led Ghana to a historic U-20 World Cup in 2009 when Egypt hosted the prestigious tournament.
He was in charge of the Black Stars when Ghana picked its final ticket in Mauritius for the 2017 AFCON Championship slated for Gabon.
