League Report Ghana Premier League: Sabotage at Accra Hearts of Oak?
JUL 7, 2016 LISTEN

It is Friday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium. The two most glamorous clubs in the history of Ghana football, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko were assembled by their mother body, Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) to honour the President of the land on Republic Day (July 1).

In the end, it was a repeat and redemption for Asante Kotoko. Having lost the annual one-off match christened the President's Cup last year, the Porcupine Warriors revenged the defeat, winning 3-2 on penalties.

But it was also a repeat as they had beaten the Phobians in the first round of the ongoing G hana Premier League (GPL) courtesy of Soulama Abdulaye's howler.

Some members of the Hearts of Oak fraternity were sad but others were in a jubilant mood with their rivals and it ignited an atmosphere of suspicion. In the dressing of the Phobians hushed voices were heard blaming two members of the technical team.

Follow up checks by Pulse.com.gh revealed an evil destructive practice creeping its way into the technical team. Two members of the technical team have been accused of "issuing different instructions to the players during matches at the blind side of Sergio due to language barrier."

"It began in the game against Liberty Professionals. They are not happy the media hailed him [Sergio Daniel Traguil] for the win against Dreams FC," a source told  Pulse.com.gh  of the source of the cancer which has meandered its way into the technical team of Accra Hearts of Oak.

"When the coach give his game plan, the two of them will give the players different instructions and threaten them to carry out else they will let the coach substitute them," the source added.
