League Report Work permit issues for new Hearts coach but Traguil impressed with fans support
JUN 28, 2016 LISTEN

Hearts of Oak acting head coach Sérgio Traguil says he has been overwhelmed by the support shown to him by fans of the club since his appointment last Thursday.

The Portuguese trainer is still awaiting his work permit and because of that, he sat in the stands as Hearts beat Dreams FC 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to move back to second on the league log.

Hearts had drawn 1-1 with Dreams in the first round, but they produced a scintillating performance to beat the promoted side in the club's first game after the two-game-closed-stadium ban was lifted.

And acting head coach of the club, who prepared the team for only four days, believes the fans helped his side to record the slim victory.

"I was in the stands with the fan,' Sergio told facebook.com/accreaheartsofoak after the game.

"In the first half I was in the VIP zone, but in the second half I came to [sit with the fans].

"I belong to sit with the fans. I am coach of Hearts of Oak so I belong to the fans. The fans gave me a lot of support that I did not expect.

"They gave me and the team a lot of support and it was them that carried the team to victory.

"The objective was to get the three points and clear the mental problem of not winning at home; I think the first half of that problem is solved."
