Three-time World Cup finalists Ghana would face South Africa, Uganda and DR Congo in they are to get the kindest draw group in the 2018 World Cup qualifying draw to be held today.
The draw for the final round of the World Cup qualifiers which will be played on league basis will be held in the Egyptian capital where CAF is based.
Ghana are among the top ranked countries in Africa for the FIFA rankings which puts them in Pot 1 of the draw.
The continent's other top teams Cote d'Ivoire, Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal.
Pot 2 will also contains some of the top teams in Africa with the resurgent Cape Verde, Congo DR and Mali as well as giants Egypt, and Nigeria in the pot.
Other giants have also been placed in Pot 3 with Cameroon and Morocco placed in the pot as well as Congo, Guinea and South Africa.
The last pot of 20 qualified team are Burkina Faso, Gabon, Libya, Uganda and Zambia.
A team from each pot will be picked out to form a qualifying group of four teams with the overall winners advancing to the World Cup in Russia.
Ghana will face South Africa, Uganda and DR Congo if they are to have an easy path to the tournament in Russia.
