Despite mauling Ethiopia 4-0 at the Cape Coast stadium to win the Africa Youth Championship (AYC) qualifier 5-2 on aggregate over two legs, Didi Dramani, head coach of the Black Satellites is adamant the game was not a stroll on the park.

The national U-20 team needed to score only a goal without conceding to ensure they book qualification to final phase of the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers having lost the first leg 2-1 in Addis Ababa a fortnight ago.

However, Masa-ud Didi Dramani's men went on rampage, hammering the Ethiopians four without conceding to set up a date with Senegal who defeated Tunisia 2-1 on aggregate.

"Our preparation for this game was not different from what we've done for our previous games. The only difference was that we looked at the objectives of this game, we had also looked at what are the issues to be worked on especially immediately after our game against Ethiopia on the 22nd of last month. We had also looked at what really need to be worked on in order to be able to go past this Ethiopians," the former Asante Kotoko coach said in his post-match meet the press.

"We had appreciated their strength and taken advantage at the weaknesses that we saw. We also took disadvantages of our own team. So we scouted our own team and that of our opponent and so knew that it wasn't going to be an easy side because technically they are very good on the ball.

"So in terms of attacking we needed to play more purposeful and attack with caution. That was what we saw and played the way we did. We needed to attack, but it was necessary to keep the balance to ensure we don't concede.

"It was not an easy game, just that we took our chances when we had them because we planned against the strength of the opponent and we exploited the weaknesses." He said.

The Black Satellites will have overcome Senegal over two legs to book a ticket to Zambia for the tournament.
