Stephen Appiah's World XI side will be hoping to bounce back from a 4-1 defeat to Kotoko in the first leg of the Vodafone Unity Match when they play the Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium this afternoon.

The games, organised by former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, and Primeval Media are geared towards promoting peace in the country ahead of the general election later this year.

Among the international stars expected to grace the second leg exhibition match are former Dutch international, Edgar Davids, Arsenal's Sol Campbell, Middlesbrough's George Boateng, Camerounian Alexandre Song, Nigerian Yakubu Aiyegbeni, former Man United striker Dwight Yorke and former Liverpool striker, Emile Heskey, who scored in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium last Wednesday.

The World XI side are likely to attribute their poor showing against the record Ghana Premier League champions to fatigue as they arrived in the country on the eve of the game.

But this time, they will have no excuses when they face the might of a much younger Black Stars squad, led by Swansea's Andre Ayew, who just booked their qualification to AFCON 2017 in Gabon.

The stars will also be on a mission to appease their fans following last Wednesday's disappointing performance against Kotoko.

In goal for the World XI will be former Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Kingson, who did his reputation no harm with a string of cat-like saves to deny Kotoko many goals in the first leg.

Another highlight of the game will be the presence of enigmatic midfielder, Sulley Muntari, who will be on the Accra Sports Stadium pitch for the first time since tendering on an apology to the GFA for his behaviour at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

A number of high-profile personalities, including former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps and businessmen, including the CEO of the Kenpong Group of Companies, Kennedy Agyepong, are expected to grace the occasion.
