League Report Hearts of Oak punishment too harsh- vociferous fan Aziz Haruna Futah
MAY 6, 2016 LISTEN

Vociferous Hearts of Oak fan Aziz Haruna Futah wants management to fight the harsh punishment meted out to the club for fans misconduct.

Hearts have been fined GHC 12,000 and also told to play their next three matches at the Accra stadium behind closed doors.

This was after violent home fans threw missiles on the pitch, halted the match and held match officials hostage after their 3-1 defeat to Wa All Stars on 03 April 3, 2016.

Also, the club's spokesperson Kwame Opare Addo and chairman of the chapters committee Barima Atuahene, who is a  board member, have each been banned for 24 months and fined GHc 6,000 each.

'This punishment for me is harsh and too much for us so I entreat management to appeal," Futah said.

"We have been doing well in this season's league in Accra and the fans have been amazing but just the behaviour of some few guys have brought this issue.

"We have already apologized for what happened on the day and I think this is too much for us so we want management to do something about it."
