Michael Essien: Ghanaian midfielder cannot explain his lack of games at Panathinaikos

Ghana international and Panathinaikos player Michael Essien has no idea why he is not getting playing time at the Greek club.

The player has recently not featured for the Panathinaikos team he transferred to from AC Milan.

Essien, who had injury troubles in his early days at Panathinaikos says he has been fit since October last year and that the reason for his lack of games should be a question for someone else.

Speaking to gazzetta.gr, the former Chelsea and AC Milan star said:

'As far as I know is not the case for technical reasons, or has to do with injury problems. I am healthy and I train every day since last October when my injury was going better. 'There is no concern for injuries to my discussions with the coaching staff. Not due to technical reasons or any problem related to football.
