The operations officer of the Akropong Divisional Police DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) Godson Danquah has assured football fans who will be travelling to Dawu on Wednesday for the epic Ghana Premier League week 8 match between Dreams FC and Asante Kotoko at the Theater of Dreams maximum safety.

Briefing the Administrative Manager of Dreams Football Club (Ameenu Shardow) on the security plans for the midweek game Mr. Danquah said, “We are very content with the initial arrangements made so far.”

“It is important that we put in place a very effective plan and our meeting has been very revealing and will inform some vital decisions including ticket prices for the game,” he said.

“For us, the safety of every individual and property is the priority and that will be the overriding factor in every decision we make with regards to the game,” he added.

Mr. Danquah further reiterated that their checks suggest that there’s going to be a humongous crowd at the Dawu Park. He also disclosed that at least fifty (50) police personnel will be drawn from Aburi, Mampong, Akropong, Larteh, and Adukrom.

Dreams FC occupy the third spot on the league ladder with 14 points whilst Asante Kotoko leapfrogged to the ninth position with 8 points after their 3-1 win over Liberty Professionals last Sunday.
