Accra, April 13, GNA - The head coach of the Black Queens Yussif Basigi, has said that, his charges have set sight on a last four finish at the 10th edition of the Africa Women's Championship (AWC), scheduled for November 19 - December 3, in Cameroon this year.

Basigi, who guided his side to win gold at the last All Africa Games (AAG), in Congo Brazzaville qualified, for the biennial tourney, after the Women Senior National team, edged past Tunisia 4-0 to record a 6-1 goal aggregate yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

At the last tournament in Namibia 2014, the Queens failed to progress from the Group stage and Basigi remains confident Ghana will cruise to the last four with adequate preparation.

On the game, the coach told the GNA Sports that, though Ghana encountered a tough test, the important aspect was to win the game and qualify the country to the competition.

He expressed satisfaction on the display of the girls saying ''they (Tunisia) played all the game and we scored. I'm satisfied with the result and I believe the new players will make an impact going forward''.

Basigi added that, tactically Ghana was superior and will rebuild on the win and plan for any country ahead of the final competition.

When asked whether Ghana can clinch the title, he said ''it's too early to target the title''.

Ghana will join seven other countries to battle for the title in the final tourney.
