Berlin, Feb. 4, (GNA/dpa) - Ghana dropped to 41st in the world and 4th in Africa in the latest FIFA ranking released yesterday.

Belgium maintained first place and Hungary rose to a best ever 19th in the latest football world rankings issued Thursday by the ruling body FIFA, with most changes coming in the lower regions.

Belgium lead the way with an unchanged 1,495 points from Argentina (1,455), Euro title holders Spain (1,370) and world champions Germany (1,347).

Chile, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, England and Austria complete an unchanged top 10 as none of the top 20 teams has played a game yet in 2016.

But Euro 2016 qualifiers Hungary rose from 20 to 19, and Turkey from 21 to 20 because Ivory Coast lost 19th place in a nine-place slide to 28th. Palestine were the biggest climbers, up 21 to 110.
