FEB 4, 2016 LISTEN

Techiman City will appeal Ethnic Committee's ruling following the side's demotion to the country's third-tier over match fixing allegation.

City and Wa African United have been relegated after the Ethics Committee of the FA found them guilty for bribery and match-fixing after investigations into their Match day 22 game played at the Damongo Park.

The judicial body of the Ghana FA has slapped the two clubs with the heavy sanction after evidence was produced of their attempt to fix the game.

And president of the club president Charles Ntim, nicknamed 'Mickey Charles', says he will appeal the ruling to seek redress.

'We won't do anything to disrupt Ghana football but we will follow the due process, which is to appeal the ruling by Friday. We have three days to do that,' Charles Ntim told Accra based Peace FM

The decision has sparked hopes of Real Tamale United playing in the top-flight this season as they could be the beneficiaries of the decision after Techiman City topped their group in the Division One League.
