Ghana star Andre Ayew may have been robbed by CAF after it emerged votes of eleven countries were not captured by the continent's governing body in deciding the Best Player for 2015.

There have been groundswell of criticism targeted at CAF after Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shockingly scooped the award at the expense of the more celebrated Ghanaian and Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure.

The decision to hand the coveted individual individual award to the Borussia Dortmund attacker has smashed the criteria for selecting the continent's best player.

It has now emerged that 11 countries including Angola, Benin, Ethiopia, Central African Republic, Comoros Islands, Reunion Islands, Sao Tomé and Principe and Eritrea were not captured in the final list released by CAF.

Others including South Sudan, Kenya and Seychelles were conspicuously missing from the official list.

In a rather bizarre twist the 11 countries are affiliates of CAF and took part in the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers in the year under review and are reported to have cast their votes.

The shocking disappearance of the aforementioned countries has sparked a wave of storm and posses serious credibility issues on the award scheme.

Andre is a popular figure in most of the countries omitted from the final list to raise serious eyebrow about the genuineness of the award.

A lot of conspiracy theories are winding up in the air with perceived claims the addition of the votes from the 11 nations would have significantly tilted in favour of the Ghanaian or at worse Yaya Toure.

CAF has been consistently inconsistent with the award aimed at recognizing the best player in the year under review.
