Golfers and their families last Saturday left the Sakumono Golf Club satisfied, having achieved their purpose of taking their family re-union a level higher in the Coca-Cola Family Day tourney.

The 18-hole golf fiesta drew about 120 golfers and their families which saw children and wives of the golfers engaging in fun games.

An attractive play ground and a video game centre were created for the golfers' kids who mingled so well.

A three shot better than the course par (68nett) handed the men's ultimate prize to Li De Xiang, who beat Wang Shu on count back. Mike Zhang, Kusi Ohemeng and L. Marin recorded a 69 nett apiece to place third fourth and fifth respectively.

The women's event saw Maureen Akuaku dominating with a 70nett, with Naomi Addo and Dr Juliet. Tuakli finishing second and third after a 81 and 84 nett scores in that order.

It was Nick Zhang, 55nett who reign supreme in the junior's category, while Emile Kumi and Dillon Dadson.

Aseda Wilson was adjudged the overall winner in the girl's segment, while Xanthe Dadson following in the second position.

Teye Lartey left the Course with the men's Longest Drive prize with Dr Julliet Tuakli picking the lady's event. Maureen Akuaku won the ladies Nearest to the pin event, while Jack Young Lin picked the men's category.

Captain of Celebrity Golf Club Lawyer Francis Akwasi Opoku described the event as successful taking into consideration the large turnout and the fact that it met its target of bringing families together.
