OCT 12, 2015 LISTEN

Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been appointed  as captain for Tuesday's friendly match against Canada.

Coach Avram Grant picked the 26-year-old as the new captain following the unavailability of both skipper Asamoah Gyan and his deputy Andre Ayew through injuries.

Ayew, who withdrew from the friendly due to injury, is set to undergo an intensive knee treatment to be ready for Swansea City's EPL clash with Stoke City.

Gyan was ruled out of the test match because he is yet to hit full fitness after recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered while playing for Shanghai SIPG.

The Black Stars will take on Canada at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC.

The match will kick off on Tuesday at 7:30pm local time.
