League Report serious business: Kotoko unveil new recruitment team
OCT 9, 2015 LISTEN

The Board of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has announced a recruitment committee to negotiate the transfer of players into the club.

Asante Kotoko, following the end of last season that they went trophyless, put 7 players on transfer necessitating  the need to augment their squad in their quest to reclaim the league and the FA Cup titles, they failed to defend.

Despite, reports of the termination of the appointment of the current board and management of Kotoko, the former in a meeting on Friday has announced a 6-man recruitment team, including Opoku Nti, the General manager of the club, George Kennedy, the Operations manager, David Duncan, the head coach, Nana Yaw Owusu, a board member, Kwaku Amponsah, supporters chairman and a rep from the club's old players.

This move by the board cast doubts about the imminent appointment of Samuel Osei Kuffour as the president of the dethroned league and FA cup champions as being reported.

Osei Kuffour was on last week Saturday informed by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the owner of Kotoko to form his team to replace the current board and management of the club.

However, sources have told Allsports.com.gh that the appointment of the ex-Ghana international is now hanging, after he confirmed in an interview with Metro T.V before the official announcement by Manhyia palace, an action considered disrespectful to the authority of the Asantehene.
