An Italian goalkeeper is in critical condition after being run over by a van while heading for training.
The victim, Daniel Bruni (who plays for Cerveteri), has been hospitalized at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome after being hit by a van carrying firewood which was driven by a drunken man.
The nasty situation happened on Monday at the Galli sports centre. The vehicle also crushed a 56-year-old Romanian who has parked his car by Daniel's.
A statement from Bruni's club, Cerveteri reads: "All ASD Città di Cerveteri were around Daniele Bruni and his family at this time full of uncertainty and fear. Daniel has always been a strong guy, a real number one, inside and off the field. He will surely overcome even this. "
