Ghanaian player Albert Adomah rewarded manager Aitor Karanka in the English League Cup on Tuesday as the player was given a second start in a row since his row with Middlesbrough.

Adomah scored twice in the Capital One Cup for Middlesbrough when they entertained Wolverhampton Wanderers, a game the home side convincingly won.

The Ghana international opened the scoring with eight minutes to the interval taking Middlesbrough into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Diego Fabbrini doubled the lead for Middlesbrough after the break before Albert Adomah scored his second of the night to put his side three goals ahead.

The game ended with the 3-0 score line as Middlesbrough qualified to the next round of the English League Cup.

Albert Adomah submitted a transfer request to leave Middlesbrough after some differences with manager Aitor Karanka. The player failed to secure a move away and returned to first team football action in the English Championship over the weekend.
