Division Two: Charity Stars welcome Young Wise in crunch derby
26.07.2015 LISTEN

With the look ahead of the Greater Accra second division league match final week and the last match of the first round as both team battle to maintain top position on the league table as they are only separated by one point, Charity Stars Football Club host their local rivals Young Wise FC at a local derby on the 26th of July, 2015. 3:00 PM at the Charity Park, Bubiashie.

Young Wise FC coach Frank Owusu popularly known as "Olembe" is the former coach of the league's defending champions Charity where he won 2 league tittles after qualifying them to the Second division. Coach Olembe is set to field a strong side at his former training grounds, Charity Park, Bubiashie as he urges to continue his side's energy after a 2-0 win against Densu Borussia FC last week Saturday in the league.

Coach Olembe watched his men react well to a shocking first defeat of the season against Liberty Babies at the Liberty Stadium, Dansoman. It is their first lost of the season even though his side mounted high pressure on their opponents throughout the second half but all to no avail. Coach Olembe says because of the holidays, the weekend will be good for the players to have enough rest and be able to prepare the team enough for the match next weekend. "I have a set of good players who are fit and determine to play and also have a big issue in calling my first team. I have confidence to produce a great performance with my former club. We prepare to come for the game with a right intense. I coached the former team and I know how good they can play but my players are very determine and technically discipline like their rivals. My boys are currently on a good run and as we top the league, we will play our best to win and maintain the top spot as we play the same team on the first game of the second round. I win trophies and I pray God gives me more knowledge and good health to be able to win the league on the right occasion."

The match which had to be played on Saturday 18th of July has been postponed due to the Muslim Eid-ul-Fitr festival.

Three straight wins with one lost against Liberty Babies including an impressive performance against OTM Foundation FC and Noble Arrics which have lifted Young Wise FC to the first place and above Charity who have drawn two of their games without a loss who are working enough to defend its league title.
