Coaches at Shanghai SIPG are looking to get Asamoah Gyan well prepared to make his debut against league leaders Beijing Gouan next Monday.

The Black Stars captain will join his new teammates in training on Tuesday.

Gyan has since his arrival in Shanghai early last week been training on his own with a designated physical instructor.

Shanghai SIPG will be hosting Tianjin Teda in a league clash on Thursday but this game is considered too early for the Ghana striker to make his debut.

The ambitious title-chasing Chinese club are targeting their top-of-the-table clash at Beijing Gouan next Monday as the perfect opportunity to unleash their expensively acquired new striker.

This will also serve the perfect opportunity for Gyan to grab the headlines once more again especially if he is able to score and help the side secure a priceless away win which will see Shanghai overtake their hosts on top of the Chinese Super League log.

Only a point separates both sides after 18 rounds of matches.

Sven-Goran Eriksson will very much like to have his newly acquired striker brought up to his best by the time they travel to Beijing to test their title-winning credentials against the leaders.
