League Report GPL second round: WAFA eye first win against unbeaten Hasaacas
JUN 21, 2015 LISTEN

West African Football Academy are up against Sekondi Hasaacas at their home grounds in Sogakope in one of the exciting matches of Week 19 in the First Capital Plus Premier League.

The match will present two clubs with different result pattern after three games in the second round. WAFA are without a win; two draws and a defeat while Hasaacas are undefeated so far in the second round, winning two games and drawing one. Two points separate both clubs on the league table - WAFA  are 4 with  27 points and Hasaacas are 9th with 25 points.

For Hasaacas coach Yusif Basigi, his team's early progress is fueled by a tenacity to move from relegation corridors to a better position. "Is sheer determination, we are determined to move from where we were to a better position."

"We don't hope that the way we started the first round will turn against us again, we want to get on course," he told  Allsports.com.gh .

WAFA's artificial pitch plays a good advantage to them on home soil and Basigi is fully aware of that.

Coach John Kila and his players were beaten 3-1 in the first round at Sekondi after taking the lead and their first win will get them back into competition for top four.

Basigi affirming his admiration for WAFA intimate a cagey game for his team.

"Playing WAFA is a different ball game altogether. They are a very good side without any doubt so we will take a different approach or we will plan as to how we will play them," he said.
