Kevin Prince Boateng is reportedly very close to a return to former club Milan after Schalke 04 sacked him.
The 28-year-old spent three successful years at the San Siro between 2010 and 2013, helping the Rossoneri win the League in his first season at the club before moving to German club Schalke two years ago.
However, following a slump in form and fall-out with management, Boateng was suspended indefinitely by the Bundesliga side in May, with agent Federico Pastorello now looking for offers for his client.
And the agent has revealed that a return to the Italian giants could be on the cards.
"Boateng to Milan? It's an idea we're working on," the player's representative wrote on Twitter.
"We're looking for the best solutions for this great player. AC Milan are certainly one of these."
Boateng is well-travelled, playing for the likes of Hertha Berlin, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth and Genoa.
