The battle for slots in the quarter finals stage of the 2015 MTN FA Cup will begin on Sunday after when clubs take on each other in the round of 16 matches.

Five matches will be played in match venues across the country with three matches postponed.

The match between reigning champions Asante Kotoko and Real Tamale United had to be postponed due to Kotoko's request after contributing six players to the local Black Stars and the Black Meteors.

The games between Ashantigold and Inter Allies and that of Great Astronomers and Medeama were also rescheduled due to similar requests.

However, Sunday's line up of matches promises to be exciting with a Western regional derby between second tier sides Eleven Wise and Samartex.

At the Sogakope park, WAFA will welcome Mighty Jets while Instanbul FC travel to Dormaa as guests of Aduana Stars.

All attention will however be at the Tema Stadium when Hearts of Oak play as guests of Division Three side Afienya City.

It will be interested to see if Afienya City can record another famous victory after they eliminated Great Olympics from the competition in the last round.

Premier League side BA United will also be at the Tamale Academy park to take on Tamale Utrecht in their Round of 16 clash.

Winners of the round of 16 games will be taken through a live draw at the Grand Favour Hotel in Takoradi on Tuesday to determine the pairings for the quarter final stage.

The five matches in the round of 16 games are expected to kick off at exactly 3pm.
